 Malia Advice

Finding a Job

Earning & Saving

The best way and in most cases, the only way, to get a job in Malia is to be here. Book your one way flight over here and start applying. No need for a CV. You will be given a trial, and as long as your even the slightest bit outgoing, you will have a job in no time. Not very talkative sober? No problem, you can drink at almost every job.

The standard rate for a shift of work here is between 20-50 Euros. Keep in mind that you have rent to pay each month so you will need to save around 10 euros each day. This amount can vary depending on what you brought over with you. Coming over with 500 Euros will give you a comfortable start. Remember, its much cheaper to eat and drink here than back home.

The local supermarket

What do I take with me?

There is a Spar Supermarket 5 minutes away that sells everything you need to survive. There is also a cash point just outside if you need to get cash from your bank card.

Toiletries is a must. Constantly buying toiletries in Malia can be expensive so take as much with you as possible.  Be sure to pack enough clothes and shoes. When working you dont want to be wearing the same clothes all of the time.
